For the past several months, the elementary math subcommittee has been working hard to review and evaluate numerous elementary math curricula. After looking at different options, the subcommittee narrowed their choices to three options that could replace our current math units of study. The subcommittee is now to the point where they are diving deeper into the three options – Bridges, published by Math Learning Center, Ready Math, published by Curriculum Associates and Zearn, published by a nonprofit organization. This deeper dive includes inviting the publishers to provide an overview of their math curriculum. The community is invited to participate in the overviews and provide feedback, which will be reviewed by the math subcommittee. The publisher presentations are set to take place from 4 to 5 p.m. in the district office PD Room on the following dates: Zearn will present on Thursday, March 7, Ready Math will present on Wednesday, March 13, and Bridges will present on Thursday, March 14.
