Be sure to get your students signed up for SPARK - our summer program with something for everyone

SPARK – Summer Program for Art, Recreation and Knowledge - is the Grandview School District’s new enhanced summer offering. This year we are looking to offer more than a way for students to continue their academic learning over the summer or catch up on missing credits. Instead, we are taking a whole-child approach – there will, of course be a focus on academics, but there will also be so much more!

The program will bring math, English and science together with sports, drama, dance, family and consumer sciences, and other experiences. We want to give students – many who have been in some variation of remote learning for part or most of the school year – a chance to get back to their roots. We want to reignite the excitement that comes with mastering new skills, collaborating with fellow students and just getting out of the house.

SPARK will take place at all of our schools this summer. We are giving every kindergarten through 12th grade student the chance to take advantage of this special program!

SPARK will run from June 21-July 30, 2021. The full-day program will take place Monday through Thursday. That means students get a three-day weekend every weekend of the program!

Of course, we will be following all safety protocols during SPARK. We will continue to require facial coverings and following appropriate cleaning and sanitizing protocols. We are excited to be bringing students together, but we also continue to prioritize student and staff safety.

Again, SPARK is open to ALL Grandview School District students. Get ready to ignite your SPARK! Registration is happening now!
