Degrees and Certifications:
I'm from Bozeman, Montana and have always enjoyed any activity that took me outdoors. From hiking to skiing to white water rafting and everything in between, my family tried to take advantage of all the natural beauty big sky country has to offer. There's just nothing quite like the peace you can find in the middle of nowhere.
This is my first year teaching and I'm so excited to call the math position at Compass my new home. I graduated summa cum laude from Oregon State (go Beavs!) with degrees in Math and Education and a minor in Spanish. My sophomore year, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Santander, Spain and not only increased my language fluency, but also got to experience the rich culture I was learning about. Starting my junior year, I worked in Academics for Student Athletes at OSU to facilitate positive mindsets and the development of organizational strategies for students trying to navigate having a full time job as an athlete all while getting an education. My students taught me so much of what I now find most important to teaching and learning so, needless to say, I am a fiercely loyal Beaver fan!
When I'm not in my classroom, I still try to enjoy the outdoors, play a little volleyball, and dance when I can.
