John Nelson is a 2005 graduate from the University of Eastern Washington. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Education degree with a major in Social Studies and his first assignment was at Compass High School. Mr. Nelson is responsible for all of the Social Studies requirements at Compass as well as his advisory group.

 

Mr. Nelson comes to us from the small western Washington town of Naselle where his mother was an administrator with the district and his father was a Science teacher at the Naselle Youth camp. Being that his family operated a small cattle farm and the remoteness of his hometown, Mr. Nelson has a deep  appreciation of the outdoors and wildlife. He currently resides in the town of Pasco with his wife, Rachel and their daughter Emily.
