Returning to School
Students may return when:
- Fever-free for 24 hours without medication
- Vomiting-free for 24 hours
- Diarrhea-free for 24 hours
- Symptoms have improved
- Cleared by a healthcare provider when required
Exposures to a variety of infectious diseases in a school population are not unexpected and may even be inevitable. Taking the appropriate action to identify infectious diseases to assure proper healthcare for students and staff to control the spread of disease is important.
