Health Conditions & Care Plans
Some students require specialized health support during the school day. Grandview School District works with families and healthcare providers to develop plans that help students remain safe, healthy, and ready to learn.
Life-Threatening Health Conditions
Washington State law (RCW 28A.210.320 and 392-380 WAC) requires students with life-threatening health conditions to have the appropriate medication, treatment orders, and required forms on file before attending school.
Life-threatening health conditions may include:
- Asthma
- Severe allergies and anaphylaxis
- Diabetes
- Seizure disorders
- Cardiac conditions
If your child has a life-threatening health condition, all required forms and medications must be submitted to the school before the first day of attendance. The school nurse will work with your family to develop an appropriate health care plan. Authorization for Exchange of Medical Information form.
