Chris Castillo
Chris Castillo is a dedicated and passionate leader committed to enhancing the well-being and educational experience of students in the lower Yakima Valley. A proud graduate of Zillah High School, Chris furthered his education at Boise State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Health Science.
Chris began his career as an Elementary Health Enrichment Teacher at Pioneer Elementary in Sunnyside. During this time, he discovered his calling to support the students of his community beyond the classroom. His journey led him to Inspire Development Centers, where he excelled as a Health and Nutrition Compliance Specialist and eventually became the Lead Nutrition Specialist. These roles allowed Chris to develop a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students from various backgrounds.
With a strong desire to make a broader impact, Chris took on the role of Nutrition Director with the Grandview School District. His dedication to student health and nutrition has since earned him the position of Food Service and Transportation Director for the district. In this capacity, Chris's primary goal is to ensure that every student receives high-quality food and that transportation services are safe and efficient.
Chris Castillo's leadership and commitment to his community are evident in his continuous efforts to improve the lives of students in the lower Yakima Valley. His work reflects his belief that every student deserves access to nutritious meals and reliable transportation, providing them with the best possible foundation for their educational journey.
Chris has been married to his wife, Sophia, for five years, and together they are proud parents of two daughters. In his spare time he loves to be surrounded by family.
