    • Students and staff who test negative may return to school once symptoms are improving and they have had no fever in the past 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.

    • Students and staff who test positive after 5 days of isolation must stay at home for the full 10-day isolation period.

To reduce the spread of COVID-19, Grandview School District has free COVID-19 test kits for staff and students at each school building. See your school nurse for more information.

Handwashing: Regular handwashing is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick, and prevent the spread of germs to others. During the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping hands clean is especially important to help prevent the virus from spreading. Links to handwashing videos that have been shared with students:

    Cleaning and Disinfecting

As always, we want to assure our families and community that the Grandview School District custodial staff disinfects our schools as part of their daily duties. Our custodial staff cleans and disinfects doorknobs, sinks, toilets, and mirrors multiple times a day. Each of our schools and all our staff have access to cleaners and disinfectants to go over any other surfaces as needed. We follow the guidance on preserving public health from the Yakima Health District.
