FLASH Curriculum

    FLASH is a widely used comprehensive sexual health education curriculum developed by Public Health – Seattle & King County and designed to prevent teen pregnancy, STDs and sexual violence. Below is a link to the 4th & 5th grade lesson plans that are sometimes used at the middle school.

  • FLASH Sample Middle School Curriculum

    FLASH is a widely used comprehensive sexual health education curriculum developed by Public Health – Seattle & King County and designed to prevent teen pregnancy, STDs and sexual violence. The middle school curriculum includes seven lessons.

    The lessons are:
    • Reproductive System & Pregnancy
    • Sexual Orientation & Gender Identity
    • Rules of Dating (Healthy Relationships, Sexual Violence Prevention)
    • Saying No (Abstinence)
    • Preventing STDs & HIV
    • Condoms to Prevent STDs & HIV
    • Birth Control Methods
