  • Staying safe and healthy during SPARK

Grandview School District families, we wanted to reach out to those of you who have students attending SPARK. We want to assure you that we are continuing to follow all current health guidance throughout the program. We also have a few reminders. All students are required to wear a mask during SPARK. We are following three-foot social distancing for all students, and we are continuing to do temperature screenings when our scholars come through the doors of our buildings. Grandview High School and Grandview Middle School are continuing with their walk through health attestation process. At our elementary schools, we're asking families to fill out an attestation form at least once a week. Also, please let us know if your student is feeling sick or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. We also want families to know that we will continue to send home any student who is showing COVID symptoms. With the hot, summer weather we are also asking student to bring a water bottle with them. • We are excited to begin welcoming more high school students back to the building

The Grandview School District is excited to announce that we will be expanding our Small Cohort Learning at Grandview High School. On Tuesday, Feb. 2, the Yakima Health District announced a recommendation allowing high schools in Yakima County to open their buildings for hybrid learning. Of course, working to bring as many of our high school students back as safely possible will take some planning and time. According to the Yakima Health District recommendation, we will need to submit a plan to their agency, have onsite visits from the health district and continue the strict safety measures we already have in place in our elementary and middle schools. With all that in mind, we have decided to begin the work of bringing high school students back into the building by first expanding our Small Cohort Learning. Click the headline to learn more.

Keep up-to-date with mobile app. Remember, finding out what's for lunch or breakfast throughout the district is as easy as checking your phone. This year the school district has started using Health-e-Living to create and broadcast our menus and a part of that is the My School Menus app. The app is available in the Apple App Store or the Google Play store under My School Menus. The app makes it a snap to find out what's cooking.
