Make your calendars for the End of the Year Student Showcase and Art Show. The Grandview School District State and Federal Programs Department is hosting the End of the Year Student Showcase and Art Show from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, at the District Learning Center, 313 Division St. During the event all district schools will have booths manned by students ready to show off some of the things they've been working on during the year. There will also be a student art show, featuring pieces from students throughout the district, as well as performances by student musical groups. Various community resources and district departments will also be on hand with information for parents and community members. Dinner will be provided.
It's time to register for kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year. We are currently registering students for kindergarten and signuping up students for preschool on Fridays through the end of May. Be sure to bring the following documents: immunization records, birth certificate, proof of home address, parent id is required, for kindergarten child must be 5 years old before Aug. 31, 2018, for preschool child must be 4 years old before Aug. 31,2018 and be sure to register at your boundary school.
Registration times by school:
• Smith is registering student for Kindergarten on Fridays from 2 to 3 p.m.
• Harriet Thompson is registering student for Kindergarten on Fridays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
• McClure is registering student for Kindergarten on Fridays from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. until May 25.

Do you & your students want to know what's for lunch? Keep up-to-date with mobile app. Remember, finding out what's for lunch or breakfast throughout the district is as easy as checking your phone. This year the school district has started using Health-e-Living to create and broadcast our menus and a part of that is the My School Menus app. The app is available in the Apple App Store or the Google Play store under My School Menus. The app makes it a snap to find out what's cooking.
Grandview High School was ranked number 52 among the state’s 509 high schools, earning a bronze medal finish in U.S. News & World Report’s latest annual nationwide rankings of Best High Schools. The 2018 installment of the magazine’s annual list was published online on May 8. GHS was the highest ranking high school in ESD105, which serves 25 public school districts in South Central Washington.
Grandview Rotary recently honored two students from each school in the Grandview School District, presenting them with Rotary Student of the Year awards. The students were nominated and selected by teachers and staff at their schools.
